Outrage in Hong Kong over dog in washing machine

CHINA -- A man in Hong Kong has recently posted photographs on the Internet, showing a small white dog churning in a washing machine. This has sparked online outrage and police inquiry, South China Morning Post reported.


These cruel photos appeared in a facebook account of a man named Jacky Lo on Aug 12, 2014. They show a dog, believed to be a white West Highland terrier, clinging to the side of the washing machine and even submerging in the water.

This has caught massive attention online, with thousands sharing photos and calling for police to investigate.

 

So far, Hong Kong police has conducted investigation on the suspected animal abuse, but it is still unknown if police have tracked down the man.

The Hong Kong Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals called the incident "truly horrific".
