HAWAII -- An Anahola man was arrested for shooting a gun near the owner of a dog that killed his pet.
Kenyan Kapp, 34, was arrested on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, for reckless endangering, terroristic threatening and trespass. He allegedly confronted a neighbor and fired a handgun in close proximity.
The dispute began shortly after the victim’s dog reportedly attacked and killed a male Shih Tzu mix owned by Kapp.
The dog attack reportedly occurred after the Shih Tzu trespassed onto the victim’s property.
The victim called Kauai Police Dispatch around 6:28 p.m. She reported that Kapp came onto her property and fired a handgun approximately six feet away.
Police located the suspect at his home on Kalalea View Drive. Officers also located a handgun at the residence.
Kapp was taken into custody. He was released later that evening after posting $22,000 bail.
