The dog, which has been named Kate by the RSPCA, is unable to walk, is severely dehydrated and has no appetite.
Incredibly, this is the same dog (Kate) in before and after photos |
Vets say she is a young dog, so they are carrying out blood tests to establish exactly why she cannot walk.
The other dog that had to stay at the vets is called Will. He has antibiotics as his skin was very red, but he is much brighter and is at an RSPCA centre with another three of the dogs, named Martha, Fay and Maria.
The other four dogs, named Justin, Mavis, Sian and Dave are at other RSPCA animal centres in pairs.
An investigation is underway into where the dogs came from. It was initially difficult to work out their exact breed because they were found in such a poor condition.
Anyone with information about where the dogs came from, is asked to call 0300 123 8018.
