KENTUCKY -- A Johnson County, Ky., couple is facing animal cruelty charges after deputies said they found several dogs and a horse in poor health.
Curtis Fraley, 43, and Lucinda Fraley, 45, both of Oil Springs were charged with eight counts of animal cruelty.
The Johnson County Sheriff's Office and an animal protection officer responded to a home on Dry Branch Road on Sunday. Deputies said they found eight dogs and one horse in poor health.
Deputies said the owners told them the care of the animals was more than they could handle.
The animals were voluntarily surrendered to the sheriff's office where they were placed in the care of the Kentucky Humane Society and Dumas Rescue.
The case remains under investigation.
