TEXAS -- Caldwell County authorities cited a dog breeder, after several of his pit bulls escaped and mauled a horse Friday.
Sgt. Frank Alvarez tells KEYE TV the incident happened in Maxwell on City View Drive.
The dogs' owner was cited for "dogs at large," and for one of the pit bulls not being up-to-date on its vaccinations. The horse had to be euthanized.
The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office is not releasing the breeder's identity since the investigation is still open.
