Dog bites Pickerington officer on his calf

OHIO -- Recent Pickerington Division of Police reports range from an officer bitten by a dog running at large to numerous thefts from residences, vehicles and businesses

While on patrol at 1:49 p.m. Feb. 6 an officer reported seeing a dog believed to be a boxer running loose in the 100 block of Monebrake.

The officer attempted to catch the dog and then while talking to the animal's owner, the dog bit the officer on his calf.

Reports said the officer did not require medical attention, but a report was forwarded to the Franklin County Board of Health and the dog was to be quarantined for 10 days.
