Fresno man, Christopher Tognazzini, arrested for alleged drug manufacturing, animal cruelty

CALIFORNIA -- A 42-year-old central Fresno man was arrested Thursday for allegedly manufacturing drugs and for cruelty to animals after police found two starving dogs locked in a small cage.


 
At Christopher Tognazzini’s residence on the 700 block of West Hammond Avenue, police also found 7 pounds of marijuana, butane canisters and equipment used to make marijuana honey oil around 2 p.m. Thursday, Sgt. Mark Hudson said.

The SPCA took the dogs and said one was near death. Hudson said that dog was taken to a veterinarian to determine if it needed to be euthanized due to neglect and abuse.

Tognazzini was also arrested on suspicion of violating a restraining order and for possessing codeine syrup.
