On the 14th, Deputies accompanied the Humane Society of Missouri to Woodfin’s residence on County Road 831.
Two dead dogs as well as a momma dog and three puppies were found outside.
A squirrel was found in a cage in a bedroom and a hedgehog in an aquarium on top of the squirrel’s cage.
Woodfin told police he was relocating to Florida and had enlisted the help of two women to care for and find homes for the animals.
A week after finding the animals, the necropsy revealed the two died of exposure and lack of nutrition.
