LOUISIANA -- Baton Rouge police on Friday arrested a man accused of tossing a wire cage with a dog inside into a dumpster at his apartment complex.
Parish Animal Control officers investigating the claim of animal cruelty against Michael Hudson, 30, requested help from Baton Rouge police, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
Hudson tried to leave out a back door of his apartment when police began knocking on his front door, the affidavit says. An officer shot Hudson with a stun gun as the 30-year-old suspect headed toward a fence to get away from police.
Police booked Hudson, 356 Apartment Court, Apt. 45, Baton Rouge, into Parish Prison on one count each of cruelty to animals and resisting arrest.
