MONTANA -- A local woman is charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty in connection with allegedly throwing a small dog against a wall last week.
Butte police said Dawn Erickson, 54, was arrested late Friday.
Officers say that after Erickson was asked to remove her dog from the bar's countertop, she threw her poodle named "Precious Love" against the wall outside an uptown bar at Park and Main on the evening of April 25.
The dog was not seriously injured and is being cared for at the Chelsea Bailey Animal Shelter in Butte.
Erickson has been released on a $1,500 bond.
