OREGON -- A 47-year-old man is accused of first-degree aggravated animal abuse after prosecutors said he killed a dog.
Shaun K. Horey appeared in court Monday morning for his arraignment. He pled not guilty to one count of first-degree aggravated animal abuse.
Records show Horey lives in the 600 block of Northwest Hoyt Street.
He was arrested Sunday afternoon and booked into Multnomah County Detention Center.
According to court documents, Horey killed the dog back in March. Its name was Rory. The indictment said the killing was done in a malicious way.
No other information about the case has been released.
Records show Horey has been convicted of 11 felonies, 4 misdemeanors and 3 probation violations.
Horey is scheduled to be back in court Aug. 24.
