Shirley police officer rescues a fawn

MASSACHUSETTS -- A Shirley Police officer on Friday rescued a deer that was caught in a fence.

Officer Craig LaPrade on Friday responded to a radio transmission about a fawn trapped in a fence at the Shirley Salvage Yard.

So, LaPrade began scaling the fence when the fawn suddenly jumped into his arms.

LaPrade carried the fawn down a hill and put it in the back of his cruiser to cool off.

LaPrade brought the fawn to a wooded area and attempted to let it free, but the fawn did not want to leave.

The fawn eventually got out of the cruiser.
