Two men charged with killing dog by dragging it from a car

KENTUCKY -- Police arrested two men on charges that they killed a dog by dragging it from their car Wednesday night in Lexington.

Police spokeswoman Ann Welch said Vincent O'Bryan, 33, and Jesse Durham, 28, were arrested in the Charleston Court area about 10:28 p.m., and the dog's body was found in the Kingston Road area.

 
  
  

 
"We initially received several phone calls coming in about a vehicle dragging a dog," Welch said.
The first calls came from along Winchester Road.

O'Bryan was charged with intoxication, disorderly conduct, terroristic threatening and first-degree animal torture.


Durham was charged with alcohol intoxication and first-degree animal torture.

It was unclear whether the dog belonged to either man.
