Dawn Dee Erickson, already cited for animal cruelty, now arrested after false reports

MONTANA -- Police say Dawn Dee Erickson, 55, of Butte called 911 four times during an 11-hour period starting Wednesday.

In the past two weeks she has reportedly called for help at least eight times, saying she’s sick. Police say she wants to talk and is seeking attention and has possible mental health issues.

Erickson was arrested for false report to law enforcement, a misdemeanor, about 1:30 a.m. Thursday at her residence on the 10 block of West Broadway Street.

She was cited for cruelty to animals in May for allegedly throwing her poodle against a wall outside a bar in Uptown Butte. Her trial is set for Oct. 6 in Butte city court.
