Charges could be filed in neglected dog case

FLORIDA -- Animal cruelty charges could be filed against the owner of a dog dropped off at Palm Beach Animal Care and Control Tuesday in poor condition.

The dog was brought in with its fur matted from urine and feces.

The animal couldn’t see because the fur covered his eyes.

Palm Beach Animal Care and Control says the hair around its mouth was trimmed just enough so he could eat.

Once the dog was shaved investigators discovered part of his foot was missing.

Witnesses are now being questioned and the case remains under investigation.
