James Edward Register, 45, sentenced for aggravated animal cruelty

FLORIDA -- James Edward Register (DOB: 11-16-1970) was sentenced to 1 year and 3 months on August 19, 2015 for aggravated animal cruelty and taken into custody on September 9, 2015.

James has a couple aliases: Booger Register and Buger Register. Nice.

Apparently Booger likes hanging out in prison. His criminal history includes "resisting officer with violence" back in April 2007. He ended up spending about a year in jail for that offense, getting out in April 2010.

Less than a year later, in January 2011, Booger was arrested for "domestic battery strangulation" and "false imprisonment". For those crimes, he went to jail from June 2011 until December 2011.

Booger probably thought that an animal couldn't report him to the police like an ex-girlfriend could so he found himself an animal to beat up. I'm assuming he was abusing the animal since he was charged with aggravated cruelty on March 30, 2014.

Booger probably won't be getting out until at least Sept 2016.
