Neighbors, who fed "Little Gray" for nearly a year before it went missing, said the cat was found with rubber bands tied around two of the cats legs, which cut off circulation. One leg, veterinarians think will heal. The other had to be amputated.
"It was really pretty gruesome there for a while," said Bill McGhee, the vet at Castle-West Animal Hospital who helped the cat. "I really can't even understand how she can even be alive with a leg that was looking like that."
Mcghee said there has been an outpouring of donations coming for the care of Gray.
