ARIZONA -- The Kingman woman who was arrested last month after a neighbor reported a horse and burro on her property were not receiving proper care has been indicted.
The Mohave County Grand Jury handed down felony counts to Jennifer Christine Lintel, 41, of cruelty to animals and cruel mistreatment of animals.
When Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to Lintel's home in the 2600 block of Clack Canyon Road on Sept. 21, they found both animals appeared to be neglected.
The burro had an obviously broken leg and was lying on its side. Neither animal had access to shade or water and were "extremely underweight," according to the sheriff's office.
Judge Billy Sipe will arraign Lintel at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
