Fostered Doberman removed after biting boy

FLORIDA -- A 7-year-old boy was transported to the hospital Wednesday evening after, officials said, he was attack by a fostered dog.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units were on scene after the victim was bitten by a Doberman. His family had been fostering the dog for about 10 months.


Miami-Dade Animal Services removed the dog from the home along Southwest 14th Street and 139th Avenue in Southwest Miami-Dade.

The boy was airlifted to Nicklaus Children's Hospital with some cuts and bruises, but he is expected to be OK.
