OHIO -- A Warren man is facing an animal cruelty charge after reportedly hitting a dog with a rock on Monday.
Kashaun Williams, 22, was found by police at his minivan at his apartment complex with blood on his hands and boots. Inside a van, officers found a dog with an eye wound, blood on its face and mouth.
Williams told police his dog ran away and came back bloody.
According to a woman in the apartment, Williams became angry with the dog for relieving itself in his apartment.
A police report states an anonymous caller witnessed Williams hit the dog with the rock.
Officers found blood and feces in the apartment.
The dog was taken to a 24 hour emergency clinic.
Williams pleaded not guilty to the charge and was released from the Trumbull County Jail after posting a $2,500 bond.
