New York: Convicted animal killer Erik Miller Sentenced for Probation Violation

NEW YORK -- A Corning man convicted for severely abusing a pug early last year is heading back to jail.

Friday morning Erik Miller was sentenced to one year in the Chemung County Jail for a probation violation stemming from the original animal abuse case.

As a result of Miller's repeated kicks, the King Charles cavalier pug mixed breed dog suffered blunt-force trauma, including multiple rib fractures, severe pulmonary contusions and subcutaneous emphysema.

While on probation, Miller allegedly got into a domestic incident on Dec. 20 in Elmira Heights where he was charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing.

Let me guess. He got into a "domestic incident" with his wife, who married him after he almost killed her poor dog. I hope to God she never has kids with him. If she doesn't have the strength to leave him, just don't bring other animals or kids into the picture.

He also admitted to using heroin and percocet while on probation, another violation.

Miller will answer the Obstruction of Breathing charges in Elmira Heights at a later date.
