On Sunday afternoon, officers from the Gloversville Police Department were sent to a Mill Street residence to investigate a report.
On arrival, they were told that a kitten had been shot at close range with either a pellet or BB gun, severely injuring an eye. The kitten had been taken to a local animal hospital before the officers arrived, and the suspect had also left the area.
Following an investigation and various interviews, Jordan T. Bombard of Mill Street was arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection with the case.
Bombard is charges with Aggravated Cruelty to Animals, a felony, Reckless Endangerment, a class A misdemeanor, and a Gloversville City Code violation for Discharging a Weapon.
Bombard was arraigned in Gloversville City Court by the Hon. Judge DiMezza, and sent to the Fulton County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
