Oklahoma: Keith Anderson and Adria McGavock charged with animal cruelty for dead, dying dogs

OKLAHOMA -- Keith Anderson, 31, of Fort Gibson, has been charged, along with his girlfriend Adria L. McGavock, 26, in Muskogee County District Court with animal cruelty for several sick and dying dogs who were found on his property without access to food or water.

One of the dogs was bleeding copiously from the anus and was rushed to a veterinarian for emergency medical care.

Officer Tiffany Yarbrough was dispatched to Anderson’s house at 109 N. Garrison in Fort Gibson after an animal control officer witnessed the state of the dogs in the yard.

One puppy was dead and two dogs were sick inside the gate. The bleeding dog was impounded, but the other dog couldn’t be captured.

“The Fort Gibson Police department is frequently sent to the ... residence,” Yarbrough noted in her affidavit, “in regards to domestic violence, unusual odors and animal welfare checks.”
