Court records show Houston County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Clarence Ashley Jones, 52, of Covey Circle, and charged him with misdemeanor cruelty to animals.
Records show deputies charged Jones with causing injury to a white English bulldog mix when he shot it with a pellet gun on May 26.
Jones was released from custody at the Houston County Jail after he posted $300 bail.
