Texas: Romelia Lozoya, 44, and Guadalupe Lozoya, 52, arrested after leaving their dog inside hot car

TEXAS -- Two people are facing animal cruelty charges after El Paso County Sheriff Deputies said they found a dog inside a car.

Sheriff deputies were sent to the 8300 block of Doniphan Tuesday. They said they found a small black dog inside a car.

The West Valley Fire Department was called out to help get the dog out. The dog was without food, water or proper shelter. -- I think more importantly, it was in a HOT CAR.

Romelia Lozoya, 44, and Guadalupe Lozoya, 52, were arrested.

The Sheriffs' Office Animal Control officers turned the dog over to the El Paso Animal Service Shelter.
