NEW YORK -- An Oneida woman has been arrested on animal cruelty charges, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say 26-year-old Carla Bage left her three cats abandoned in an unoccupied Town of Lincoln home, which deprived the animals of human contact, food, water and medical care.
As a result of her alleged actions, the cats suffered ulcers, dehydration and malnutrition.
Bage was charged with torture, injure and not feeding an animal.
The Wander’s Rest Human Association took the animals form the home and treated them.
Undersheriff John Ball does not know the current conditions of the animals.
