UNITED KINGDOM -- A stag was rescued in the early hours of the morning after it had fallen into a swimming pool.
The fire service was called by the RSPCA to a house in Cherry Green Lane, Westmill, at 2.23am.
A water rescue team was dispatched to the village near Buntingford and the animal was hauled from the water using hose lines.
The rescue took around three hours and involved the rescue team and a fire crew from Buntingford.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said the incident was over by 5.25am.
