Australia: Horrific moment young thugs stab and burn a kangaroo with a cigarette - then upload the vile attack to Snapchat

AUSTRALIA -- A group of young men who ran down a kangaroo before stabbing it and burning it with a cigarette captured the whole act on video.

The brutal attack occurred in South Australia on June 10 where it is believed the men hit the kangaroo with their car before torturing it.

The men captured each torturous moment on the photo and video sharing app Snapchat.

Images from the video show the badly bleeding kangaroo lying on the side of the road at night.

A picture of the animal’s head shows blood pouring from its mouth, nose and ears.

Another gruesome image shows the kangaroo facing the camera, one eye popping from its head and the other one swollen shut.

The RSPCA is investigating the matter and allege the animal was stomped on repeatedly by the group of young men until its head ‘fell off’.

The Chief Inspector of RSPCA in the state, Andrea Lewis, says a 17-year-old from Adelaide’s southern suburbs has been interviewed over the incident.

The RSPCA are calling for anyone who has viewed the original video – or who may have a copy of it to come forward.

'Penalties for aggravated animal cruelty are up to four years imprisonment or a fine of up to $50,000,'Ms Lewis said.
