New York: Three pit bulls which attacked pregnant woman have been euthanized; are they going to charge the owner??

NEW YORK -- Corey Doherty is desperate for answers.

The expectant mother was viciously attacked by three pit bulls last month in her Rocky Point, Long Island, back yard. Corey was taken to the hospital. That was the last time she returned home.

She and her family have since moved to St. James.

Two of her four dogs -- Bentley and Remi -- didn't make it.

This wasn't the only incident. Another woman said she and her dog survived an attack by the same pit bulls a week before. The dogs were returned to the owner. I spoke to him on the phone this morning. We arranged to meet and he never showed up.

The dogs would escape from owner Peter Connolly's home apparently through a broken fence.

Neighbors are frustrated after what they say is repeated calls to the town without any action.

In a phone interview, Brookhaven Town Attorney David Moran says the three pit bulls have been euthanized and two of Connelly's additional puppies were put in a shelter.

Are they going to bother charging him???

Neighbors are worried he has other dogs. Corey says she doesn't want another family to go through the same thing.
