Florida: Pit bull, which had been adopted out from local shelter, attacks little dog. Vet bill so far? $1,400

FLORIDA -- For those who are worried about our little guy.... Cutter is okay. He was attacked by a pit bull on his morning walk with us. He didn't even see it coming. Cutter spent the day in the clinic having surgery to deal with his wounds and will be in pain for the next few weeks (as well as ticked off that he has to wear the cone of shame). Ironically, he was lucky. His torso was torn up pretty badly but his jugular was only bruised because Jim Olive wrestled on the ground like a champ to save him. We are so thankful that Cutter is home tonight.

Evelin Skinner: Oh no! Poor baby. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

Stephen O'Brien: I witnessed a similar incident in the corner in NYC. The locked jaws with each other after a casual pass. It was so sad to see.

Elisa Jannes: It was not a scene that I would want anyone to experience

Heather Bailey Hazzard: The other dog must have been intimidated by Cutter's stunningly good looks 🤔. Sorry boss, hope he recovers quickly (Jim too)... poor guys. Have you looked into the neck pillow of shame instead of the cone? It is like an inner tube that pops over his head and wears like a donut around his neck. 🐾🐶 sending him puppy power prayers.

Elisa Jannes: Thanks Heather Bailey Hazzard- I will definitely look into that. He's miserable with that cone and he's still heavily drugged- I can't even imagine what two weeks will be like.

Ashley McCauley: Baby onesies (the long sleeve ones) work great too!

Elisa Jannes: Thank you Heather Bailey Hazzard- this is SO much better

Stephanie Budenstein It definitely looks more comfy.

Heather Bailey Hazzard: Yeah!!!! That is what I was talking about!

Sandra Higgs: Poor Cutter. So sorry he has to go through all the pain. Are you going to report the Pit Bull? Hope Jim is Ok, and that he doesn't have to wear the cone of shame too. Lol😍

Elisa Jannes: The animal shelter came to our house. They were not surprised when they learned what dog was involved. A no-win situation for everyone.

Elisa Jannes: The animal shelter is investigating- the dog used to be theirs and they didn't want this guy to have him. No surprises. And yes, the $1400 bill is just one more side effect that we will be dealing with.
