"The dog was hit by [Bowen] and at some point he lifted the dog up and smashed her on the sidewalk," said Amanda Kennedy, Director of Boston's Animal Care and Control.
BAIL GIVEN, THEN REVOKED
Bowen was arraigned in Boston Municipal Court Tuesday and held on $5,000 cash bail. However, it was learned that he Bowen was wanted on an unrelated case out of Malden District Court so the judge revoked bail - meaning Bowen isn't getting out of jail anytime soon, prosecutors said.
NECN has also learned that Bowen is homeless and a level 3 sex offender.
Bowen's 9-month-old dog, meanwhile, is currently limping but stable. The dog, named Sarah, is undergoing a physical evaluation at a Boston animal shelter, prosecutors said.
"She is limping on the back. We're not sure if it's both legs or one leg," Kennedy said. "We're assuming that it's probably related to the abuse last night."
They need to examine her for possible sexual assault.
Bowen's next court date is Nov. 22. His attorney didn't immediately comment.

I don't believe he's homeless. Look at those photos. He's too clean cut to be living under a bridge. He's probably living with someone in violation of his terms (e.g. near a school or this person has children).

I happened to be this guy. The case was actually dismissed as a fraudulent case brought by a lying eye witness. The video that you saw was a poor cell phone video and the defendant was exonerated based on lying testimony and investigation of the witness as well as video cameras that were on the Federal Building next door showing no sign of abuse in clear full view color camera. edit your website or I will take legal action against you
