NORTH CAROLINA -- City and county officials are investigating reports of animal cruelty.
Guilford Metro 911 received a call today about neglected animals at 1304 Grove St., in Greensboro.
Dispatchers notified Guilford County Animal Control and Greensboro police about the report, according to police spokeswoman Susan Danielsen.
Officials responded to the vacant home and found three dogs in it. One of the dogs was dead.
The Greensboro Police Department is investigating allegations of animal cruelty in the case, Danielsen said.
