Pennsylvania: Man and Shih Tzu attacked by two pit bulls; granddaughter lucky to escape injury

PENNSYLVANIA -- Our dog Cocoa was attacked by 2 Pit Bulls on the 18th. I haven't posted until now because I've been so upset and focused on taking care of him.

Cocoa, before the attack

I won't name the person who owns the dogs. This happened in front of Rock City Cafe. This woman was walking them out of a building just as my husband and granddaughter Chloee were walking by with Cocoa on a leash. She had her dogs on leashes, but they were too strong for her to handle and they immediately attacked Cocoa.

Bill struggled to punch them so they would let go. Didn't even phase them. Luckily, there were other people that helped pull them off or we believe he would have been killed. But not before the damage was done to Cocoa and a few bites to Bill's knuckles and a couple punctures to his thumb. No one else was hurt. Especially glad nothing happened to Chloee!

These dogs don't have updated rabies shots either and needed to be quarantined for 10 days.

And????? Are the dogs being declared vicious? Any restrictions or are they simply being handed back after quarantine? Were any citations even issued? Is the pit bull owner at least paying for the vet and hospital bills???

Cocoa is healing well, but he went through a lot of pain. He is just now acting more like himself in the last couple days.

The first 2 pics are when it first happened and the last 3 were taken today.
