Florida: Man recounts how a seemingly "very sweet" pit bull named Capone mauled its owner

FLORIDA -- I knew someone that had a pit and I had visited their house, petted the dog numerous times. He was seemingly very sweet, would rest his head on your knee to get more pets, etc.

The same dog (Capone was his name) attacked the owner and damaged her arm so severely that she required reconstructive surgery. Believe it or not, she actually kept the dog!

Bottom line is that the family pet that licks you one minute can kill you the next. I don't know who could see all of these tragedies and allow a pit around a child. Stupid.
