Louisiana: Tina Pounds was horribly mauled by a pit bull while protecting her grandson. She's got something to say.

LOUISIANA -- Tina Pounds posted on Facebook:

I am sick to death of pit bull apologists that either blame the victim or say a chihuahua bites more and must be a more dangerous breed.

I wish all of you had been at my surgeon's office with me Thursday to hold my hand while he described my 5th surgical procedure to me. It involves stents, open wounds, growing mucosa and turning what's left of my chin out to try and grow what's left of my lip area so they can rebuild my lip.

After that they will plan my 6th and 7th surgeries before working on fillers and laser treatments to deal with missing tissue and heavy scarring of my face.

My only crime? I refused to allow my landlady's pit bull to grab my 5 year old grandson.

A pit does not bite. A pit mauls and tears and shreds and rips its victims apart.

All you apologists and pit advocates can bite me. Since your poor widdle pibbies have already ripped me apart I doubt your bites will have much bite to them.

  1. Awesome lady. A warrior.

"Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children...."
Taken from 'Pulp Fiction'. Not a real Bible quote, I know, but I thought of this while reading this woman's post.
