Texas: An hour after the call is placed, Animal Control shows up to see pit bull mauling puppy it had just killed. He took photos and drove away, leaving the dead puppy lying in the yard

TEXAS -- Jenna Rudder posted on Facebook January 9, 2017

Just witnessed the death of a puppy. It happened when school let out.

A pit bull attacked a puppy that it lives with in it's yard. It didn't stop til the poor baby stopped moving.

Animal control was called as soon as it happened and didn't respond until after the puppy died from it's injuries. Kids walking by saw what was going on and tried to get it to stop by throwing rocks and yelling at the pit bull.

The only thing animal control did was take pictures! Then the guy watched as the dog tore at the dead puppy again! Saying the only thing he could do was wait for the owner to call!

Two other ladies and I told all the kids to go home and we stayed and waited because the puppy was still alive for a good 45 minutes!

IT TOOK THIS GUY AN HOUR AND TEN MINUTES TO GET THERE! THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE! IF IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A CHILD THAT WAS ATTACKED THE RESPONSE WOULD HAVE BEEN FASTER! I EVEN TRIED TO FLAG DOWN A POLICE OFFICER DRIVING BY AND HE JUST WAVED AND KEPT GOING!

Jenna Rudder - Dude from animal control didn't even remove the puppy! It's still there! Being used as a damn chew toy by the dog that killed it!

Emily Colpaert - What in the fuck?? Poor baby

Jenna Rudder - I know! And a bunch of middle school kids took more action than this guy! Pathetic!

Emily Colpaert - This is why I have little faith in humanity and why I like animals a whole hell of a lot more than people.

Jenna Rudder - Truth! Me too! It's pretty sad when 11-13 year old kids do more to save a puppy than a grown man.

Tammy Meyers Shaw - Are you serious?!? That's ridiculous! The dog should be put down.

Jenna Rudder - And then the other pit bull that's tied up got her collar stuck on the fence and a dude ran across the street and freed her WHILE THE ANIMAL CONTROL GUY WAS SITTING IN HIS TRUCK!

Jenna Rudder - The poor puppy was still alive for awhile and even started yelping! It died in so much pain!

Maria Breimayer - So, the pit owner just sat back and watched it happen? Did the puppy's owner ever come around? That's BS that that cop just drove by. Could've put the puppy out of it's misery.

Jenna Rudder - The owner wasn't home. Trust me, we banged on the door multiple times. Even one of the kids did. The owner is home now and I'm gonna take a little walk because I have a feeling they may just throw that poor baby in the dumpster

Maria Breimayer - So sad :(  Thanks for caring Jenna. That's nice of you to go back by there and it was nice of you to stay with the puppy until it died.

Jenna Rudder - As it was yelping in pain, I kept telling it "It's okay. I know baby, help is on the way." But "help" came too late. If it had lived, I would have given that sweet baby a home.

Maria Breimayer - Thanks for trying.

Jenna Rudder - I have a huge heart when it comes to animals. I couldn't just not do anything.
