Sergeant Rob Nichols said that officers responded to reports of the someone screaming for help on Keller Lane in Paradise, California.
Upon arrival, officers found the woman covered lacerations and puncture wounds, which she claimed was from two dogs.
“Officers rendered first aid until medical arrived,” he said.
At the house two American pit bull terriers were located and had traces of blood on their collars, Nichols said.
The Sergeant also said that both of the dogs have been quarantined. One here in town and the other out of town.
The case is still under investigation.
“We have not been able to get a thorough statement from the victim because she is still in the hospital,” he said.
Nichols reminds pet owners that it’s important to keep them contained in your yard.
