My sister’s (Diane de Warren) 10 week old puppy (Cybèle) was a attacked by a pit-bull off leash. Cybèle was on a leash and he wasn't.

She lost all her baby front teeth, her chest was pretty ripped and her front left femur bone very badly fractured and high up. 

My sister just moved with her son to Big Bear & the surgery is a huge burden for them.

We have never done this, but we are in a terrible situation.

Our beloved 4-month-old puppy was attacked by a terrible vicious dog in Big Bear, CA.

Cybele arrived in our family about 2 months ago. She is Sébastien’s baby: he feeds her, he sleeps with her, he takes her anywhere he goes (except for school), he adores her! Our family adores her! And so does our other dog Mishka, who even at 10 years old fell in love with the little bundle of joy.

Yesterday, we went hiking in the mountains as we often do with our two dogs and a friend. When we returned to the car, there was a pickup truck next to our car.

Our two dogs were on a leash next to us and this enormous dog came charging toward us at full speed and grabbed our puppy before his owner could even move.

It was horrible. We couldn’t get him off our tiny puppy. It took about 5 minutes and 4 people to get him to let go, no matter how hard we kicked and pushed away from her…

Our poor Cybele is in terrible shape. She lost all her front teeth, her chest was shredded to pieces and worst of all the top of her left front leg's femur was completely mangled, she is in agony and has been whimpering nonstop since she was attacked. 

The emergency room stabilized her but the pain killers aren’t helping enough. She is going to need expensive emergency surgery if we hope that she walk normally again.

Our friend who was with us also got cuts and bites trying to save Cybele. I know we owe her life to him.

But now we are facing extremely expensive medical procedures and of course the owner of the Pit Bull responsible for this tragedy is not helping…. He’s vanished and we have none of his information since we were so focused on saving her.

Surgery will probably end up costing $5,000.00 (if not more… as they will be other cost and follow up)

We need your help to put our sweet puppy out of her torment so she can walk again and we can stop crying...

Animal control and the police have been notified but there is not much they can do.
