Tennessee: Charged in 2017 with killing a neighbor's cat, Zachariah Sparrow, 42, gets an updated mugshot

TENNESSEE -- In February 2017, Zachariah Sparrow was arrested after shooting and killing a little girl's cat. He claimed to police that her cat, named Bilbo, had come onto his property and attacked his cat.

He was charged with two Misdemeanors - cruelty to animals and discharging a firearm within the city limits. He should have been charged with Felony Animal Cruelty.

Typically people get updated mugshots because they're on probation and they have to return to court. A November 30, 2017 listing showed that he appeared in court for sentencing. His address was updated to list 2400 Brice Street, Knoxville so hopefully he moved away from the poor family whose cat he cruelly killed for no reason.

Likely, Sparrow was given one-year of unsupervised probation (typical with animal cruelty cases) and he had a new mugshot taken for a compliance check in court.
