Dayton man attacked by his own pit bull

OHIO -- For the second time in a week, area police are investigating a pit bull attack.

This time it happened in Dayton.

According to an animal resource officer, a couple at 71 S. Irwin St. own four pit bulls. The dogs were fighting inside the house and either they turned on the man, or he was bitten trying to break up the fight. Medics took him to the hospital bites to the leg and arm.

The girlfriend was issued four citations for not having the dogs licensed.

The dog that bit the man was quarantined at the home of a family member. The other dogs were not removed.

[This comes on the heels of a]  Harrison Township woman [who] was attacked last week by a neighbor's pit bull.
