Dog bites McDonald’s drive-through employee

OHIO -- A dog skipped the Egg McMuffin on Wednesday morning and instead chose to sink its teeth into a fast food employee.

McDonald’s worker Brandy Ramsey, 29, reached out the drive-through window to hand a man his breakfast when a black Labrador lunged out the vehicle’s window and bit her pinkie finger, a Perkins police report said.

“I grabbed my hand and saw blood gushing out of my pinkie,” said Ramsey, who works at the Milan Road McDonald’s. “I screamed and he yelled at the dog.”

The dog then snapped at its owner, too. When Ramsey ran to the sink to tend to her injury, the customer drove off.

Ramsey told police the man was wearing a pullover with “Perkins High Basketball Coach” emblazoned on it.

“The only thing I’m upset about is that he didn’t even apologize,” she said. Ramsey later showed police the two puncture marks on her finger. She declined to press charges and only wanted the incident documented.

A similar incident happened Aug. 26 at a McDonald’s in New London. An employee was walking food out to a customer’s vehicle and the customer’s dog bit her.

The driver also sped off after that incident, but police spotted the vehicle at a nearby home. The woman told police she fled because she was unsure what to do.
