Michigan: Lawsuit filed after girl, 8, is attacked by family friend's dog

MICHIGAN -- Our dog bite lawyers in Michigan recently filed a dog attack lawsuit on behalf of a twelve year old girl who was bitten on the hand when she was just eight years old.

The dog was owned by a family friend.  The dog owner’s insurance company has refused to pay a fair settlement to compensate this girl for her serious injuries.

The child has permanent scaring as a result of the vicious attack.  She was required to undergo two surgeries on her hand as a result of the attack.  A third surgery will be scheduled in the future to revise the scaring.

The suit was filed in the Macomb County Circuit Court in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. No date has been set for a jury trial in this matter.
