Pit bull bites girl in Cranston

RHODE ISLAND -- Animal control officers were called Dale Ave. in Cranston to seize a pit bull that had attacked a little girl.

The call came in around 3:15 p.m.

Cranston Animal Control was called to seize this
dog after it attacked a girl on Dale Ave.

Police on scene said the girl was not seriously hurt and was not being transported to the hospital.

However, animal control officers were taking the dog away because it bit a child under the age of one.

Police called the house a nuisance, saying they have been called there several times in the past for a variety of reasons.
