GEORGIA -- Albany police officers and EMS responded to a dog bite call around 2PM Saturday afternoon on Morningside Drive.
A 15-year-old boy was raking leaves in his own backyard when two brothers walked up to the fence asked him if he need help raking.
They jumped the fence to help and a nearby pit bull became aggressive and somehow got loose, attacking the kids.
The youngest of the two (an 11-year-old) was bitten in the arm. The older brother was transported to the hospital after the pit bull latched on to his head. The owner was able to free the boy from the dog.
The pit bull was taken into custody by Animal Control and brought to the Humane Society where it will be held for ten days.
The dog may be released earlier if the owner can produce proper shot verification paperwork.
