Animal Control investigating pit bull rescue

TENNESSEE -- A Blount County pit bull rescue owner has voluntarily surrendered six more dogs to authorities.

Angela Burress brought six pit bulls to Blount County Animal Control last week. One of the dogs was put down at her request because of aggressive behavior. The others are in the care of the Blount County Animal Care Centers.

Animal control officers say conditions are poor, and Burress still has several other animals.

Burress started the AA Pit Bull Rescue in Greenback last July. She surrendered 14 dogs to authorities last October.
