Rottweiler attacks pensioner in Basildon

UNITED KINGDOM -- The 70-year-old victim, from Basildon, reported that he had been in Felmores End when he saw a Rottweiler tied to some railings outside the parade of shops.

The dog jumped up at him biting his forearm and causing a puncture wound. Damage was also caused to his leather jacket. The incident happened at about 10.15am on Saturday, 22 June.

A 46-year-old man from Basildon has been arrested on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control in a public place which caused injury.

He has been released on bail until 1 August pending further enquiries.
