Man pulls gun, decides not to shoot pit bull attacking his dog in Flint

MICHIGAN -- A man decided to not shoot a pit bull that attacked his lhasa apso while on a walk after the dog's owner began to scream, according to a police report.
The man told police he was walking his dog in the 1000 block of Bayberry Lane on Wednesday, Nov. 6, around 6 p.m. when the attack happened. He said a woman was getting out of a vehicle when the pit bull jumped out of the car and charged toward him and his lhasa apso.

According to the report, the pit bull bit the other dog's hind quarters. The man said his dog has bite marks all over its hip area.

During the attack, police said the man pulled out his gun to shoot the pit bull to get it off his dog. The woman began to scream, so the man decided not to shoot her dog, telling her he planned to file a police report.
