Owner of dogs that mauled 6-year-old girl indicted

 

OHIO -- The man whose home was being guarded by the pit bulls that mauled 6-year-old Zainabou Drame was indicted on drug charges Friday.

Zontae Irby was indicted on three charges, including receiving stolen property, trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana.

Irby’s mother, Volores Irby, was also indicted on a charge of permitting drug abuse.

The dog owner, Zontae Irby, lives five doors down from Drame’s home.

Police said the dogs in Drame's attack had been guarding a drug trafficking operation.
