Connecticut: Case continued for Timothy Olschafskie accused of torturing and killing 7 cats at fiancee's home

CONNECTICUT -- Court proceedings for a 21-year-old Connecticut man accused of killing seven cats belonging to his fiancee’s family have been postponed.

Timothy Olschafskie made a brief appearance Tuesday in Enfield Superior Court. A judge continued the case to Dec. 4 to give Olschafskie’s lawyers more time to investigate an undisclosed matter. Olschafskie’s lawyers declined to comment.

Olschafskie remains held on $150,000 bail on misdemeanor animal cruelty charges.

He has pleaded not guilty to allegations he killed the cats at the Windsor Locks home of his fiancee’s family, which has been rescuing cats for more than a decade.

Police reports say the cats suffered blunt force trauma, bone fractures, lacerations to internal organs and skin torn from their bodies.
