Garfi, the world's angriest cat, may out-grump Grumpy Cat

TURKEY -- It looks like Grumpy Cat has some sourpuss competition. The Internet is going wild over a fierce-looking orange Persian male cat from Turkey named Garfi.

According to the Daily Mail, the mean-looking feline lives in Turkey. The world was introduced to Garfi via a Flickr album, created by the cat’s owner Hulya Ozkok, with her son’s encouragement.

 

 

 

 

The album has been viewed over 47,000 times. Garfi is also getting started on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for his growing legion of fans.

Garfi has a long ways to go before catching up to the Internet stardom of Grumpy Cat. The 2-year-old cat with the permanent frown on her face became an online sensation after her photo was posted to Reddit in 2012.

Since then, her owners have created an entire Grumpy Cat merchandise line, featuring books, clothing and accessories. 

In addition to her charity fundraising work, Grumpy Cat occasionally makes public appearances and will be starring in her own movie, "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever," later this year.
